Kristy has always loved animals, and drawing has always come easily for her. She realized that she was blessed with the ability to draw just about anything that she wanted to. In high school, she attended Vo-Tech, where she took Commercial Art. The art teacher was a fan of Payne Stewart, and a friend of the late Bill Stewart, Payne's father. He asked Kristy to paint a watercolor of Payne standing next to a Rolls Royce on a 3X4 ft board. This drew the attention of Hickory Hills Country Club, who in turn asked for a painting of Bill Stewart and other projects. Two
years were spent at Drury University, taking Art and Kristy has done
many paintings and drawings for fellow horse lovers throughout the years. |

About ten years ago, Kristy became involved with dogs through the influence of a co-worker. After working with obedience and training, the conformation ring drew her attention. From there came a new set of challenges, hundreds of different breeds to paint, not to mention the thousands of loved mixed breeds that she has been commissioned to do. |
Kristy
has also painted portraits of adults and children. Several murals have been done by Kristy, including one at the Cowboy Cafe in Branson, Missouri. |
